Return to Long Beach Peninsula
intending to bike and catch part of Kite Festival activities. Get caught up in
the beauty of our cycling trip on Discovery Trail and never make it to the Kite
Festival. Do, however, stop at Crab Pot on the main drag in downtown Long Beach
for clam chowder and whole Dungeness crab (Pete’s cold, Pat’s hot). Great food
(and other seafood offerings on menu are tempting). Definitely worth a stop if
you’re in town. Brief nap on beach before returning to campsite about 7:00 pm.
