Stockholm, Sweden & travel home: July 14 & 15

It was the first light drizzle we’d seen since Burgundy. Given that playing the tourist was starting to wear on us, we took the port’s shuttle bus into downtown Stockholm without much idea of what we would do other than visit the old town. A walk and a good cup of coffee later, we returned to the ship in time for lunch. Perhaps the price of being the last of the ports. The ship was our hotel for the last night before departing Stockholm for Los Angeles in the morning.

From the ship’s transport to the Stockholm airport until we arrived at our hotel in Hermosa Beach, the trip went smoothly but it was an exhausting day. In spite of its being our anniversary, we ate dinner only to feel full. A good night sleep, a fast trip to Paso in the morning was the happy end to the trip.
