San Antonio Lake

Morning Fog on Lake
Grandkids are soon to arrive and we needed to get the 5th Wheel de-winterized and checked out, so we decided to camp for a couple of days close to home. Seventeen-mile long San Antonio Lake in southern Monterey County is only 35 miles away and offers the most water-side sites of any campground west of the Rockies. We had intended to stay for 3 nights but left on noon of our third day because of rain and hail. While we were there, however, we discovered that -- at least mid-week, when school's in session -- we have a little gem of a hiking/fishing paradise in our backyard. Here's some pics.
